I just finished reading a book called
The Orange Girl (
Appelsinpiken in Norwegian) by the Norwegian writer Jostein Gaarder. For those of you who haven't read it, I highly recommend it. It's hard to describe, but... it's a magical sort of book that makes you think about life, and the magic in life. On the back cover of the book, there is a quote that described the book as "an ode to love, life, and happiness." You can read more about the book
here.
On a different note, I want to congratulate Spain for winning
Euro 2008. :)
¡Viva España! (:P)

Yes! I finally managed to create a new layout!
Well, Spain won against Russia today (3:0) in the
2008 UEFA European Football Championship (commonly known as
Euro 2008). They played a good game, although the first half was rather slow-going. In comparison, yesterday's game was exciting virtually all the time. It was a great game, although I was upset that Turkey lost to Germany (2:3). They really played wonderfully and gave it their all, even though they were missing some players. I'm not really rooting for any
one team in specific. It really depends on the match. Usually though, I root for several teams (like Italy and Germany, and this time, I added Turkey to my list).
So, the final (which will be on Sunday) should be interesting. It will be Spain against Germany.
Other than, there's really not much that's new. I did upload new photos on my
Flickr account though (that link shows you the newest photos on the first page. You can also look at the photos which are organized in
sets or
collections). Do take a look (everyone :P)!
EDIT: (on
June 30th, 2008)
I added a couple of words to the first sentence of the entry. I also changed the Flickr link (and added on to the sentence about Flickr as well).

I can't believe that more than a month of my precious summer vacation has passed! O_O Time does indeed fly. If only I could make each day longer.
Well, let me list a couple of updates:
May 9: I had my last exam (thus making this my last day of the semester)
May 23-26: My brother, his wife, and her mother came to visit us. It was a lot of fun. I haven't seen them in about a year.
June 5: I saw
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian today. I was really happy to see it. While it was very different from the first
Narnia, it was still very enjoyable to watch.
June 6 - 16: My oldest sister, who lives in Texas, came to visit us. It was also nice to see her. It would have been great if she was here when my brother was here, that way it would have been a true family "reunion." Unfortunately, she couldn't come earlier. Either way, I'm glad she came.
It's so hard to slow down the pace of this vacation. I mean, it's going by
really fast. I'm trying to keep myself occupied, but it still feels hard to do that. I really shouldn't feel bored at all because there's so much I can do. I guess it just takes more discipline, and a strong will.
On a random note, I've been going to
Homestar Runner's website (the
Strong Bad E-mails section, to be specific) quite often lately, just to relive some old memories (since I used to go to that website a lot about five years ago).
Well, that's all for today. Until next time!
